Species selection and independent sourcing
First we analyse the site, then we choose the species, and only then do we buy. We are not tied to any nursery, so our recommendation follows your site, not someone's stock list.
The right tree in the right place
The most expensive mistake in greening is not the price of the sapling but a species that did not suit the site. The consequences are paid over the next twenty years, in replacements, remedial works, lifted paving and removal of hazardous trees.
First we analyse the site
Without site data, species choice is guesswork.
- Soil type, compaction and pH
- Rootable soil volume
- Underground and overhead infrastructure
- Sun exposure, wind and heat island
- Water regime and drainage
- Salt loading from de-icing
- Intended use of the space and expected loading
Then we choose the species
By actual conditions, not by catalogue or fashion.
- Drought and heatwave tolerance
- Ultimate crown and root size
- Tolerance of compacted soil and salt
- Resistance to pests and diseases
- Allergenic potential and fruit safety
- Contribution to biodiversity
- Diverse composition, no monoculture avenues
Only then do we buy
We are tied to no nursery, so we choose purely on quality and price.
- Independent selection among European nurseries
- Phytosanitary check at the grower
- Root-ball and crown-structure check
- Uniformity for avenues
- Best quality-to-price ratio
- Guided nursery visit with the client
- Supervision of lifting, transport and planting
Why nursery independence saves money
When the supplier also recommends the species, the recommendation inevitably follows their stock. We have no such interest: we compare offers from several European nurseries for the same specification and choose the best quality-to-price ratio. The client pays for the tree, not a trading margin on advice.
Guided nursery visit
Before lifting, where required, we visit the nursery with you and inspect individual trees together: crown structure, stem quality, root-ball condition and batch uniformity. You see exactly what you are buying and approve each tree. For avenues this is the difference between a uniform row and ten different trees in one street.
Request a site analysis and species proposal
We visit the site, measure habitat conditions and produce a report with species proposals, planting-stock specification and a procurement cost estimate. The documentation can also serve as tender material.
Questions about species selection
How do you choose a tree for a street or square?
By site conditions: rootable soil volume, compaction and soil pH, underground and overhead infrastructure, sun exposure, heat island and salt. The species must tolerate those conditions and fit the space at its final size. For avenues we recommend a diverse mix rather than a single species.
Why is a site analysis needed before planting?
Because the most expensive mistake in greening is a species that does not suit the site. The consequences (replacements, remedial work, lifted pavements and hazardous trees) are paid for over decades. An analysis costs a fraction of that and also serves as a basis for tender documents.
Do you sell trees?
We do not hold our own stock. For the client we compare offers from several European nurseries for the same specification, inspect the trees at the nursery and supervise lifting, transport and planting. The client pays for the tree, not a sales margin on advice.
Let's talk about your trees
We work with cities, municipalities, public institutions, designers and owners of valuable trees. For a quote, send us the basics: which tree or planting it concerns, where it is and what worries you.
How a quote comes about
Price depends on the number of trees, the methods required and the depth of documentation, so we do not publish it in advance. After an introductory call and basic site details you receive a written quote with a clear price and timeline. For public-sector clients we prepare documentation in tender-ready form.
